I recently noticed these publications.

It would be great to see the publication of a similar book about Look-In (although I guess there might be copyright issues with regard to certain of the TV-based comic strips?). Would anyone from this website be interested in flying the idea past Prion or some other publisher?

Incidentally, thanks to eBay I now have a complete, unbroken run of Look-In from the very first issue through to the end of 1975, with all free gifts (Magpie studios, star wheel, etc) included. I've also started to collect DVDs of the featured TV shows (companies like Network have been great in this respect). I'm hoping that Follyfoot and the various Doctor series will be available eventually.

Keep up the good work.

A while ago, someone from Carlton Books contacted this forum asking if any of us had collections that would could be used in a proposed project. A number of us contacted her, and I think someone got into a short dialogue but heard nothing further...

I don't know if that means the project was a non-starter, or if Carlton are handling it themselves.

Anyone know?

Confused

It would be a bit of an undertaking for anyone, but there would have to be good proven interest, to get a publisher to show interest. I hope 'John's Look-out' serves as some consolation for anyone who would like to see such a publication, because i've a feeling thats the closest we'd get.
