John - Happy New Year!

The cover of issue 40 for 1978 is by John Geary. He did several covers during this period, including one of 'Sapphire & Steel' in your feature, as well as some for the Target 'Doctor Who' range.

I'm also of the opinion no. 43 and 52 are by Arthur Ranson.

It occured to me that I had gotten No.52 recently, and on checking, found it was indeed a Ranson cover, No.43 dosen't look like an Arnaldo I agree, so I have put Ranson with a question mark until this is confirmed. The John Geary has also been changed.

19 and 41 are by Ivan Rose

Those artists are now in place, and though I say so myself the cover archive is shaping up very nicely, i'm pleased with the way it's turning out.
