As I gather regular contributors to the site have a backlog of scanned issues that will appear in due course, is there a smaller page that could be set up (or a different indicator in the 'years' pages) that shows you already have it, so we know where the 'real' gaps and might speed up acquisition of material?

(My collection has been growing of late but I suspect so have others... )

Cool

PS - you might do a different one for incomplete issues as well - if people see a cover, they might not think to fill just the odd required page...

I think the index pages act as a good checklist just click a year and you can see at a glance what's missing, but I think a sort of 'errata' for missing pages is a very good idea.

An errata thread could be started in the forum and people could add to it as they find errors in the site, links do go awry sometimes and we could use this to let Daz know too.

What I was getting at was the Contributions Page says 'don't just send us scans... contact us first, etc.' - which I think is a bloody long-winded way, and people might just lose interest. When I - at one point in the dim and distant past - acquired some issues and had the free time to scan them to send on, the site was on upload hiatus. A situation which could happen again, and from which the site is still recovering from the last two occasions.

My point is, why not use the index to indicate - through different types of gif:

- if an issue is held by contributors but simply not appeared yet. I probably have a couple of hundred issues which are not here yet, and the site wants me to type up a list first!?

If you want contributions on a regular basis, make the process a bit easier perhaps...

Embarassed

A different graphic for issues we have is a good idea, but it would still mean sending a list of what we had so that Daz could do this. I do see what you mean now. If Daz thinks this is a good idea I would list the issue No's I have here. What do you think Daz?
