I'm sure 'Battlestar Galactica' ran for 4 x 13 part strips - the first three in colour. As mentioned before, I have all of stories 1 and 3, and may have parts of others from a recent acquisition.

Cool

as mentioned nearly the whole of story one is onsite, and most of the last one, I have a few issues with the strip, but most are already on site with just 18 and 21 from 1980 not there yet. Do you have any/many of the strips Jim?

John.

Look-In Magazine
This childrens magazine published a serialized BSG strip from October 20, 1979, to October 11, 1980. The four untitled storylines spanned 52 issues, 13 two-page chapters per storyline, from 1979 #43 to 1980 #42 (the numbering started over again at #1 in January of 1980, though the storyline continued to fold as normal). Surprisingly well-rendered and well-written, this ongoing Galactica comic has been all but forgotten.

Issue breakdown
Look-In Magazine -- Weekly Serial

Storyline 1 (issues 1979 #43 to 1980 #3)
Storyline 2 (issues 1980 #4 to 1980 #16)
Storyline 3 (issues 1980 #17 to 1980 #29)
Storyline 4 (issues 1980 #30 to 1980 #42)

Just started getting them off ebay. Not very artistic, but a friend is and maybe he can help if I try to do something. Will scan and post any new strip I got that's not up already.

You'd be surprised how many fans of American TV series don't know (or apparently don't care) of British, European or any other comics based on them. I've contacted a number of fan sites to offer information, and the response is usually lacklustre to put it mildly.

Confused

Sorry to here that, have you tried Cylon.org? They have a nice section on Galactica there.

Yes, i've noticed that too shaq, I'd have thought to a major fan any new merchandise would arouse a bit of excitement, but there you go.

Thanks for the list of Galactica strips Jim, now you just need to start on that index synopsis, and and the idea is a 'goer' as they say....!!!

Galactica update:

I've just aquired some 1980 issues, and can add, 13, 16, 19, 20, 21, 24, 28, 29, 30 and 42 to the set of Galactica strips. Let me know if it's a go, and i'll send my strips to Daz.

Looks like 42 is there already. Looking forward to the rest those.
Will need something COOL to look at after this heat wave we're going though. Heat index for the last few day has been about 110.

Blimey, and I'm complaining about it being 90! Let me know if you are going to do an index synopsis, Jim and i'll start scanning, with those extra issues, we are not far off a full set of strips.

You may want to try:

www.colonialfleets.com

or

www.battlestargalacticaclub.com

We've been looking for them for a while now. We'd love to see them.
